๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi there!

Some weeks ago, I gave a conference at the University of Pennsylvania about Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), which are the new wave of Web Development for bringing native mobile apps functionalities into web projects.

Workshop Structure

I divided the talk into two segments:

  • The first half was an introduction on what are Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) as well as what is the state of the art within popular companies like Twitter, Pinterest, Tinder, and their Progressive Web Apps.

  • In the second half, we dived deep into several concepts of Progressive Web Apps, as well as adding several functionalities into a project I created for the talk: Offline mode, Caching requests: images, CSS, index.html, Local Notifications, Payments API, How to set up your app manifest and add to home screen.
